Paul has spent 31 years in the Banking and Asset Finance industry, the last ten of which at a senior level working for NatWest Group, both in the UK and Offshore (Jersey/ Guernsey/ Isle of Man & Gibraltar). In the UK, Paul ran a Regional Asset Finance team for Lombard and latterly he was the Regional Director for NatWest Business Banking for the East of England.
Since 2016, Paul has held three senior positions with RBS International based in Jersey being responsible for retail & commercial customers, bank-wide enterprise and finally being responsible for the Banking Controls Risk team.

Paul has held several senior positions in RBS and was The Head and Banking Controls in RBSI before he left the bank to take up a NED role with a local Jersey charity and to also set up his own credit brokerage in the UK.
Paul was previously the Head of Local Banking for the Channel Islands for RBSI with full P & L, Risk, People and Customer responsibility for Corporate, Commercial, Real Estate Finance, Business, Premier, Branch and Mortgage customers. He also chaired one of the Banks three franchise Risk Committees with delegated authority from the Executive management team.

A key member of RBSI’s senior leadership community, Paul transformed delivery across the score card since moving to the banks offshore business in 2016. Paul created a brand-new business, Business & Premier Banking and it was arguably the most successful franchise in the bank in 2018.
Known for creating a great place to work for colleagues, Paul’s staff opinion results have consistently been some of the best in the Bank for the last 16 years.
As chair of RBSI’s Local Banking Risk Committee, Paul has created a real improvement in the banks control environment and risk culture.
In the UK, Paul championed the diversity agenda and helped to create a national program called ‘Achieving Ambitions’ which focused on developing female talent across the bank. His work materially improved gender balance in the business and he received external, National recognition for his work at both the Women of the Future Awards (runner up and Highly Commended) and the Women in Banking and Finance Awards.
